MEXICO - 30.8 International day of the disappeared - Dr. Ernesto Sernas García alive presentation!

September 4, 2019

On the 30th of August, the international day of the disappeared and the detained, SolRojistas took to the streets to demand the alive presentation of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García.

Dr. Ernesto Sernas García, who is an active militant of Sol Rojo Mexico, a professor at the Autonomous University of Benito Juarez of Oaxaca, an investigator, lecturer and also a defendant of the people's rights, was disappeared on the 10th of May 2018. He was in charge of the defense in a trial of 23 militants of Sol Rojo, who had been charged under possession of military grade explosives and terrorism. He was disappeared before conclusive evidence of the militants' innocence could be presented.

The militants were acquitted and are now free thanks to the work of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García, but to this day he himself remains disappeared. To add to all of this, the protocols and investigations of his search are not being conducted properly.

Dr. Ernesto Sernas García is a defendant of the people and in the middle of one of his defenses, he was viciously taken away from his family, friends and comrades. The old Mexican state did not like the rigtheous work he was doing, because he and his work represented a threat to them. The old Mexican state thought it could brush away this danger by disappearing Dr. Sernas, but it underestimated the power of the people and the leadership of Sol Rojo Mexico.

An intenational campaign was launched last year  for his alive presentation, which in a show of international solidarity spanned over many countries worlwide. This campaign still continues and will not cease until Dr. Ernesto Sernas García is presented alive!

Dr. Ernesto Sernas García alive they took him and alive we want him back!
