INDIA - State leader of the BJP killed by Maoists

April 18, 2019

Forces of the CPI(Maoist) have killed the leader of the BJP in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, 9th of April, the times of India report.
Bhima Mandvi, who was on his way to tour the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, was killed in the district of Dantewada, where the CPI(Maoist) has been very active for the past years.

Mandavis car was blown up by a self-made land mine, killing him with his four security personell.

The attack is a huge success in the campaign for electoral boycott by the CPI(Maoist). They mobilize the masses to not vote, and they attack the state troops that come to force the people to vote. Electoral tours by the BJP leaders through the areas inhabited by the adivasi are an act of aggression by the party that has continued to commit a gruesome genocide against the tribal inhabitants of Indias forests in the five years it is in office.

Mandavi was part of the “Samadhan” operation where the state is using fascist methods by rallying the Hindus against the Muslims, daliths and tribals.

The attack happened in anticipation of the first day of polls in Chhattisgarh, which was set on April 11th. The next dates are set on April 18th and April 23rd.
